Welcome to the Woodstown Hotel.... ..

This specific page will display to you the viewer, several different types of data which were collected during the investigation of the Woodstown Hotel.  This specific case was one which saw a large amount of time and dedication.  The case originally began back on November 4th, 2001 when we were contacted by the owners of the property.  Both of the proprietors had been noticing a multitude of various activities within the old hotel, and so had a few of the patrons who had lived there in the past years. Upon our original visit to the Woodstown Hotel, we knew right from the start that this was going to be quite a long drawn out case. The hotel has well over 36 rooms. The basement, which displayed a large amount of activity, was a virtual labyrinth of rooms and hallways. As I had stated, great deal of activity was noted in the basement of the establishment, and history has told many a tale of what the basement was used for in the past years.  During the days of racial segregation, the basement was utilized specifically for distribution of spirits to the African American population of Woodstown. Being that this structure had been established for many a year, we knew that we had our work cut out for us performing the historical background check of the building. The NJGR organization has invested well over ten months investigating this property and has pulled cognitive forms of data from many excursions to the research site.
