As a logical, rational minded individual, who is experienced in conducting scientific based research, I have determined that one must refrain form interjecting his or her own personal beliefs or ideals into a scientific based project. This behavior or tendency is truly non-conducive in nature and will, in the end, alter the overall outcome of the scientific project. One must be prudent, concise and objective in regards to all of the collected data. Any theories which are derived from collected data, or any statements which are released to society concerning the projects overall findings, should display only factual evidence which is scientifically supportive in nature. Now that we have made this statement, we can now move forward to the featuring subject.

  This certain type of anomaly which is known as an “ORB” or “Globule” is a relatively new phenomenon which has cropped up within the last ten or so years. Orbs are anomalies which have thus far, evaded a scientific or educated explanation. Orbs tend to appear in all types of photographs and will tend to display a perfect two dimensional 360 degree sphere, usually misty, translucent, or cloudy in appearance. Some individuals have a firm belief that Orbs are directly connected to paranormal activity and are spiritual entities. Other individuals who have studied this phenomenon operate on the other end of the spectrum and provide no credence to the anomaly at all. As a scientific minded researcher, I have noted and collected a huge amount of data which displays this type of anomaly. This data has been collected in homes, cemeteries, parks, battlefields, etc. It has become personally obvious that this anomaly is prevalent in just about any place you choose to take a photograph. Furthermore, it doesn’t matter what type of photographic equipment you choose to utilize to test for this anomaly. More than likely, you will receive at least (1 ) anomaly per every (5) photographs. I have utilized all types of photographic equipment during my investigations and have compared the 35mm camera to that of the digital camera and video recorder. As of this time, we are not investigating the "Orb" anomaly through the retrospect of video, but will be in the near future. I have personally noted that digital camera's will tend to generate a higher number of these anomalies than the older type 35mm camera. The digital camera is highly efficient and allows the user to view his / her photos immediately after taking the photograph, this is a very convenient feature. Due to the fact that all digital photographs are generated and stored in a digitized format, there is no need for film development. This is likewise convenient and cost effective for the user and eliminates the possibility of development errors during the photographs processing procedures. Being that this is an evident issue, I have chosen to utilize both types of cameras during investigations so a long term comparison study can be conducted.

  After pondering upon the question concerning an Orb, and it’s possible relevance within our environment, I came to the realization that approximately 99.9% of all collected data which is captured and documented by investigators, is obtained in an uncontrolled environment. In this uncontrolled environment, the researcher has no control over the variables or properties which may be present within the area being researched. This is a real credibility issue here people and it must be addressed. Furthermore, one must realize that any variable or property within a physically uncontrolled environment could be responsible for generating these said anomalies. To simply capture this anomaly and openly make a public statement that it is directly associated to paranormal activity, spirits, or ghosts, is a statement which in nature is careless, unfounded and irrelevant, thus lessening the individuals own credibility.

  Currently, the New Journey Ghost Research organization and it’s associate staff members are developing new technologies, equipment and experimental scientific procedures which will shed more light upon this type of anomaly. It is believed that these developed technologies and experiments will provide the NJGR organization and society alike with a true and accurate determination regarding the Orb anomaly and it’s possible association with paranormal activity. Once a relative finding and theory are developed by the New Journey Ghost Research organization, a public press release will be issued to society regarding the anomaly.
