Devils Den

Welcome to Devils Den.... ..

Both the Devils Den & the Slaughter Pen where areas of the National Park that saw much battle during the Gettysburg engagement. It is said that the Devils Den changed hands at least (7) times during the battle and that there were many causalities. It is also said that there were so many dead bodies in the area of the Slaughter pen that they laid piled up until after the battle had been completed on July 4th, 1863. During the cleanup of the battlefield, many volunteers buried the dead where they fell, and it is also believed that there are still many unmarked graves present in the area of the battlefield. Though allot of this may be considered as urban legend, the possibilities of it being true are awful high. The Devils Den area is what you would consider to be a paranormal "Hot Spot" as numerous paranormal sightings and occurrences have been noted there.
