Yes, NJGR has a Cemetery Support Program.... ..

This devised program is one that was recently voted into an active status during our last organizational amendment meeting. The main objective of the program is to elevate the levels of sanitation and maintenance at local cemeteries and other various historical sites throughout the NJ/PA/DE areas. Our efforts to correct noted discrepancies at local cemeteries have received rave reviews from various religious factions, Historical Societies, and as well from members of society.

Posted below is an example of the Cemetery Support Program in action. This cemetery, which is quite old, was in dire need of a little attention and loving care. The cemetery, at one time had a church present on the grounds. The church and cemetery were originally founded in the year 1795 and the first burial took place in the year 1799. In the year 1891, the last sermon was delivered to the members of the church, and from that point onward the church sat abandoned. In the year 1905, the church was torn down and the wood was utilized on another house which was being built near by. The last noted burial took place in the year 1911. Since the time of the closing of the cemetery, it has unfortunately sat in a manner of disrepair. There have been many acts of vandalism over the years, and allot of burial sites were completely destroyed. The dense overgrowth at the site choked the life from many a present tree. Through out this process, many trees had to be cut down to rid the area of such dense matter, thus allowing light to enter the cemetery and permit the growth of grass and other positioned shrubbery. Our organizations master plan is to simply restore the site to it's original historical presence, and provide society the pleasure of visiting such a historic burial ground. The Cemetery Support Program is one which works hand in hand with society to better the monuments which we build for our loved ones.
